From Ferguson to Falcon Heights

  • Living Spirit United Methodist Church 4501 Bloomington Avenue Minneapolis, MN, 55407 United States (map)

People are craving to take action - to fight back against the racial inequities that are rampant in our society and culture.  This learning session will provide participants with tactics, tools and inspiration to take action in their lives, churches and communities. UC is not hosting this event, but recommends without hesitation you come with us! If cost is an issue, we got it covered.

Keynote speaker Rev. Dr. F. Willis Johnson is senior minister of Wellspring United Methodist Church in Ferguson Missouri and founding director the Center for Social Empowerment. Johnson is one of the nation’s foremost thought leaders on faith-rooted responsiveness to racial and social injustice.  His editorials, work in academia, service as chair of Ferguson Human Rights Commission and advisor to faith and community practitioners is respected.
